We could fall in love with Dodmoor House over and over again, whatever the weather or season, but there is truly nothing quite like a Summer's day at Dodmoor...
Blue skies, freshly cut grass and a courtyard in full bloom, with lots of greenery and beautiful flowers. Guests will arrive into the colourful courtyard and be greeted by an outdoor bar where they can start the day with a chilled drink! Ceremonies can legally take place outside, so if the sun is shining, your 'I DO's' can be said at any one of our outdoor ceremony locations.

After the ceremony, the drinks reception can take place at the lawn, which features a beautiful wooden bar, the walled garden (stunning spot for photos!), outdoor seating, and some cute garden games. We have just recently extended our range of garden games to include not only Croquet, Boules and Giant Jenga, but also Giant Connect 4 (love heart style!), Corn Hole, Ring Toss, and Tug of War.
These games are all included within the venue fee, so there is no additional fee to hire them. So if it's a beautiful day and you're mingling at the lawn, guests can while away the afternoon in the sunshine (plenty of shade provided by the oak tree if needed!), sipping a fruity Pimms and partaking in some friendly competition! You can't go wrong with some classic garden games and Pimms, especially in the summer.
The lawn is the perfect place for a garden drinks reception throughout May-August, so if you are picturing a summery wedding, now is the time to get in touch with us to start planning your special day!
We still have a few dates available in May-August 2023, including a couple of Fridays and Saturdays! We are able to offer some great discounts on some of these dates, so please email us to find out more.
It's also worth knowing that some of the new games can be used in the courtyard and inside the barns too, depending on the time of year that you get married! They can be set aside to keep the kids entertained, or on offer for all guests to use and enjoy throughout the whole day! Your choice!
