How did your photography journey start?

I picked up a friends camera one day, and was instantly hooked, it happened by pure chance ( thankfully! ) I then captured pictures of everything out of the pure love of it, and it went from there. I am fully self taught, and have loved every minute of it.

What is your general photography style?

My photography style is relaxed and natural, with a focus on capturing genuine emotions rather than stiff poses. I combine a documentary approach with creative portraits, telling the full story of the day. From big moments to the quiet in betweens, my aim is always authentic, meaningful images couples truly value.

What do you enjoy most about the job?

What I enjoy most about my job is being part of such an important day and capturing memories people will treasure forever. I love the mix of laughter, tears, and those in between moments that often go unnoticed. Every wedding feels unique, and it’s a privilege to tell each story.

What do you enjoy most about shooting weddings at Dodmoor?

What I enjoy most about shooting at Dodmoor House is how every corner offers something different, from the charming outdoor space to the barns. The staff are always welcoming and fun, and the atmosphere is lovely. I love capturing creative portraits in such a beautiful setting.

How do you approach shooting a wedding at Dodmoor?

When I approach a wedding at Dodmoor House, I focus on capturing the natural flow of the day, blending in so couples and guests feel at ease. The barns and stunning grounds provide endless opportunities, but it’s always the laughter, tears, and heartfelt moments that truly shape each story.

What are your favourite photo spots at Dodmoor?

Tough question, I would have to say the house that leads up from the drive. The canals, the bridge and the courtyard. To be honest, there are too many spots to mention!

How do you approach shooting a rainy wedding day at Dodmoor?

When I shoot a rainy wedding at Dodmoor House, I don’t see the weather as a problem, it’s a chance to get creative. The barns are perfect for keeping things relaxed indoors, but I also use off-camera flash in the rain to capture bold, striking portraits couples genuinely love.

What is your favourite part of the wedding day, from a photographer’s perspective?

Mine has to be just after the ceremony, when all of the guests rush in for lots of hugs with the couple, as they are absolutely buzzing for the newlyweds!

What advice would you give to couples for their wedding day, from a photographer’s perspective?

My advice to couples is to truly live in the moment. Enjoy your morning prep, savour the ceremony, laugh during the speeches, and dance like nobody’s watching. Don’t stress about perfection, the best photos come from genuine joy, feeling relaxed, and simply making the most of everything.

What is something that stands out to you about Dodmoor House?

As much as I love the grounds themselves, I have to say its the staff. They always go above and beyond in making sure that everyone has the best day. I have always got along with everyone at Dodmoor House!
