Nicha and Danny's Autumn Wedding

How we met...

We met in Sydney, through mutual friends.



The proposal...

The proposal took place at Dorset while we were hiking up to the Stair Hole, on top of the Lulworth Cove. There was just the two of us, so it was simple but very intimate.



What made us choose Dodmoor for our special day...

It was the love at first sight. We spent weeks emailing a lot of venues to see their brochure, but we were not settled on anywhere until we found Dodmoor. We did not regret a minute because the venue is so romantic, and staff & services are even beyond expectations.



Our vision for the day...

We didn't really have a theme, but we love rustic and intimate weddings, and Dodmoor House was perfect for ours.



The dress..

It was a strapless fishtail dress with a lot of lace detail in Moscato colour, from Stella York.



The food...

Passion Food Events were our wedding caterers, and they provided canapes during the reception and a three-course meal for the wedding breakfast.



Our favourite part of the day...

The whole wedding ceremony process.



What made Dodmoor as a venue stand out to us...

Romantic venue, and staff & services.



The plan we felt worked well on the day...

Everything went so smoothly and was well taken care by Dodmoor House staff. We were so pleased with everything.



Entertainment...

We arranged our own entertainment as we only have small numbers of wedding guests.



Where we feel our budget was well spent...

Everything!



Personal touches we loved...

The Honeymoon Suite is so romantic and cozy. We did not want to leave!



Suppliers we used and loved...

We used Passion Food for our catering and Julie Anna Flowers for our florist. We cannot fault anything from them. They both are amazing. The food was excellent especially their canapes, and the same as their services. Anna, the florist, created such beautiful flower decorations including bouquets and buttonholes. I received a lot of compliments from my guests.



And finally, if we could give a tip to other couples...

The more options you have, the more time it consumes. Knowing number of your guests and setting up a theme for the wedding will help narrow down the options, and will save a lot of time planning the wedding.
