Dodmoor Double Wedding

This year we were lucky enough to host our first ever double wedding. A mother and son duo, meaning both couples got the day of their dreams, with double the excitement!

The backstory...

Deana and Colin met on an internet dating site. Colin surprised Deana on her 60^th birthday when they were away on  holiday celebrating with lots of friends.

Whereas Stacey and Ryan met through work. Ryan's proposal was thoughtful and cute. Stacey says that he did himself proud.

Why we chose Dodmoor House...

The team sealed the deal. Everything was so relaxed and friendly. I would recommend everyone to get married at Dodmoor House. It is such a wonderful venue. Deana and Colin say that it was such a special, personal touch that they first saw the venue with Carolyn, then follow up meetings with her and then finally being supported on the day itself by her.

Luckily when Stacey and Ryan later viewed Dodmoor, they also fell in love with it's rustic charm.

Our vision...

Both couples wanted a totally relaxed day. It was really important to us that it was a fun day for everyone. Men were suited and booted and the ladies glammed up! Deana's bridesmaids wore full length burgundy dresses.

As Stacey and Ryan live on boats, Stacey wanted her dress to look 'boaty' so had a white dress with netted design at the top. Ryan went for a lovely grey suit with light blue tie to match the bridesmaids. 

The food...

The newylyweds had a twilight wedding, so booked a casual menu from one of our recommended caters, GJ Catering. They had a hog roast, snacks and wedding cake. They decided that there would be no formal seating, so everyone could decide to sit with family, friends or new acquaintances

Our favourite part of the day...

Both couples recall the ceremony to be their favourite part of the day- where it all became official!
