TO GO...
Firstly, don't panic!

Reaching the six-month mark is exciting, but it can also feel like suddenly everyone starts asking questions about speeches, table plans and dresses. The good news is that you've still got plenty of time and absolutely don't need to have every detail decided just yet.
By now, most couples have booked their venue and key suppliers, and the next few months are all about bringing those ideas together and enjoying the fun parts of planning.

Remember, you'll be meeting with your dedicated wedding coordinator in a couple of months' time for your Day in Detail meeting. During this meeting, you'll talk through the whole day together, finalise timings, suppliers, layouts, music and all those little details that make your wedding uniquely yours.
So don't worry if you don't have all the answers yet, that's exactly what we're here for!
FOOD & DRINK
If you haven't already, now is a great time to start finalising caterers and thinking about evening food.
You may also want to start exploring drinks packages, our no-corkage options and whether you'd like to join us at an Open Evening to sample cocktails and chat through ideas.
STYLING & DECORATION
Pinterest boards are probably in full swing by now! Whether you're bringing your own decorations or using Hire @ Dodmoor, it's worth starting to gather ideas and think about the overall feel you want to create.
ENTERTAINMENT
Bands, DJs and musicians can get booked up quickly, so it's worth thinking about the atmosphere you'd like throughout the day and evening. You might also want to consider photobooths, magicians or acoustic musicians for the early evening
ACCOMMODATION
If lots of guests are travelling, now is the perfect time to set up your hotel allocations. Our partnerships with Staverton Park Hotel and Daventry Court Hotel include complimentary transport back from Dodmoor at the end of the evening.
GUEST NUMBERS
You certainly don't need final numbers yet, but it's a good time to send invitations, start collecting RSVPs and begin thinking about table layouts and who might sit together.
OUTFITS & RINGS
Hopefully you've already said yes to the dress (or suit!), but fittings, accessories and wedding rings are often things couples start organising around now too.
MUSIC, READINGS & SPEECHES
You don't need to decide who is saying what just yet, but it's worth beginning to think about ceremony readings, music choices and who might be making a speech on the day.
CAKE & FINISHING TOUCHES
Cake makers often like plenty of notice, so now is a great time to finalise designs and think about all those little details that will make the day feel personal.
OPEN EVENINGS
Remember that we host regular Open Evenings throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to revisit Dodmoor, meet recommended suppliers and sample drinks from our packages.

There is still plenty of time and you certainly don't need to have everything organised six months before the wedding. Over the next couple of months, we'll begin pulling everything together and before you know it, you'll be sitting down with your coordinator to talk through the whole day in detail.
