Royal Wedding Inspiration!

You know us well enough to know we LOVE a wedding and the Royal wedding was no different. We could sit and talk about it for hours, there was just so many fantastic things going on and we are pretty sure we are going some some influences from the weekend trickle through into our very own Dodmoor weddings!

Now we may not be as regal or grand as Windsor Castle but we do like to make our couples feel like a Prince and Princess for the day. Here's how you can draw inspiration from the weekend into your own special day.

A Kids Only Entourage!

Some couple's find it really difficult to narrow their friends down to who should be a bridesmaid and who shouldn't. Why not just have a bunch of adorable little ones instead. They are guaranteed to make your photos extra cute, always provide some giggles during your aisle walk and throw the best shapes on the dancefloor.

Greenery (and lots of it)!

Phillipa Craddock created the most stunning entrance to St. Georges Chapel on Saturday, filled with lots of foliage and beautiful white and pale pink blooms! Foliage is amazing, it's much more budget friendly than hundreds of flowers and makes for a huge impact. We especially love it on our trestle tables in the Catesby Barn.

The dress!

Meghan's dress is sure to set the trend for next season's wedding designers. We are certain there will be a lot more satin and silk dresses with minimalist features coming our way in 2019! Ellis who got married last September was way ahead of the trend in this STUNNING Pronovias number from Serendipity Brides just around the corner from us!

Showstopping separate cakes

Meghan and Harry chose to have one cake flavour lemon and elderflower (we are desperate for one of couples to bring this flavour to Dodmoor) and chose to display this on mutiple metallic stands with an abundance of fresh flowers to give it that WOW factor. Amy and James gave us this decandent display last summer complete with edible flowers!

Portrait Style Photos

We loved the formal wedding party shots from inside Windsor Castle but why not use our wonderful lawn instead, like Amanda and Marc did?! The chairs add an extra dimension to the photo and it's really nice to have one or two quite formal shots of the day amongst all the candid pics!

Flower Crowns

These have been around for a while however we are sure they are going to stay a firm favourite amongst our couples. Princess Charlotte looked utterly adorable with hers on Saturday! They bring a very whimiscal feel to a wedding and look super cute on little ones!

We cannot wait to see what royal wedding inspo you bring to your weddings here at Dodmoor in the next year!
