2018 Decoration Trends

Not that we need much of a reason to browse through our favourite wedding websites and blogs but we thought we'd put together our top three decoration trends which are jumping out to us for 2018! We love decorations here, it's what make each wedding so different and we welcome all of your ideas and will do our most to make them into a reality for you.

Coloured Candles

How stunning do these candle displays look? Simple and elegant dinner candles look amazing as they give the tables a bit of height. These would work especially well on our long trestle tables where there isn't lots of room to have big decorations. Display with wooden or metallic candle holders and complement with similar coloured(or full on contrasting) napkins, glasses and flowers.

If you do decide to go for dinner candles pretty please make sure they are non-drip ones! Wax all over the tables probably isn't the effect you're going for.

These candles can be found in Tiger (our nearest one is in Milton Keynes and have so many colours), Ikea and of course good old Ebay!

Neon Lights

Nothing shouts out it's time to party then a neon sign!

We have lots of ledges around the venue where we can prop one of these up for your evening reception. The added lighting adds to the ambience of the night, makes for an interesting photo and let's face it they are just plain fun..

There are places that you can hire larger ones from which add a huge WOW statement such as Coco Luminare, Neon Sign Hire or Neon Creations.

Please do just bear in mind that we cannot mount the signs to any of our walls!

There are lots of freestanding signs you can buy to pop around the venue too! We found a few for under £50.00! There's a little love heart which would great with a dessert bar,  a flamingo for Club Tropicana vibes at the bar and of course a neon love letter to pop next to the dancefloor! The best thing about these is that you can display a piece of your party in your home forever!

Perspex Stationary

We LOVE the new craze for perspex (or acrylic) wedding stationary. It's clean, modern and doesn't overpower the rest of the wedding decor. It's super easy to add some extra glam to it, either by using a coloured pen, pretty font or displaying it in an amazing way!

Obviously a lot of these pieces aren't freestanding so will need some kind of base to show them off properly. We have lots of little hooks around the venue where you can display things like a photo frame if you'd like.

Places like Etsy and Not on the High Street can make bespoke perspex wedding stationary for you but why not buy some sheets from Ebay, downlaoad some free fonts and trace it all on yourself?

We would love to know what your favourite trends have been lately or what you are looking forward to seeing! We are more than happy to share inspiration from some past weddings so you can see how it was done. Just ask us on our Facebook page!
